Loctite 290 is suitable for locking and sealing threaded fasteners. Due to its low viscosity and capillary action, the product acts as a wick between engaged threads and does not require disassembly before use. The product cures when there is no air between enclosed metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leaking due to shock and vibration. The product also fills pores in welds, castings and powder metal parts.
