Your Second Plant Does Not Inherit Your First Plant's Qualification
The process transfers. The equipment transfers. The material does not — not by itself. Sourcing an approved grade at a new site is genuinely difficult, which is why plants end up substituting under schedule pressure. Making that unnecessary is the whole job: same grade, same source, delivered to the new plant.

The hard part of a transfer is not the freight
Anyone who has opened a second plant already knows that buying an approved grade there is difficult. These are the four reasons why — and each of them is work that moves to our side of the table instead of staying on yours.
There is no local channel
A material with a healthy distribution network in China may have no route to market in Vietnam or Mexico at all. Nothing is wrong with it — there is simply nobody to buy it from at that address. We supply it from the source you already qualified, so whether a local channel exists stops being your problem.
Regulated materials do not cross casually
Classification, packaging and destination import rules differ country by country, and the first consignment is usually where a plant discovers it. This is the single most common reason a transfer that was planned in weeks takes months. It is also the most routine part of our day.
How regulated shipments are handledSmall early volumes are the hardest to buy
A new site starts with a fraction of the volume the original one runs. Minimum orders, part-container loads and one-off paperwork make that quantity awkward for everyone in the chain. Consolidating it with the rest of your materials is how it becomes an ordinary shipment.
Substituting is the expensive fallback
When none of the above gets solved, the plant buys the nearest thing on the local market. That is a substitution, and a substitution is a requalification — paid for in engineering time, months after the transfer was declared complete.

What transfers, and what has to be rebuilt at the destination
The answer is the same at every overseas site, which is why it is worth stating once. Three things travel with the material unchanged. Three things have to be established again on the ground — and those three are ours.

The left-hand column never moves. The right-hand column is rebuilt at every destination, on whichever terms you buy on — and rebuilding it, through clearance and onto the receiving plant's floor, is the service.

Transport mode follows the production stage
Not the urgency of the request. A pilot build and a running line are two different supply problems, and they get two different lanes.
Samples & pilot builds
Air or courier. Small quantity, short lead, and the point is to unblock a validation rather than to optimise a cost per kilo that does not exist yet at this volume.
Ramp-up
The stage where the mode has to change, and the stage where transfers most often get into trouble. Volume climbs past what air carries economically while the line is least able to absorb a gap, so the switch is planned ahead rather than made under pressure.
Steady-state production
Sea freight against a rolling schedule. Stable, and priced for a line that is going to keep running rather than for a one-off consignment.
And it does not have to be only the material. The dispensing equipment built around that material can be specified and shipped with it, so the new site starts from a copy of a line that already works — rather than from a fresh integration project running in parallel with a ramp.
