Detailed product description

Product Introduction

Shin-Etsu KE40RTV is a one-component silicone adhesive sealant, a red paste product, which is a silicone sealant with good fluidity for general industrial use.
The characteristics of deoxime type make it have the smell of oxime type gas during the volatilization process, and it is corrosive to copper-based metals, so it cannot be used In parts that come into contact or indirect contact with copper-based metals. However, oxime-type silicone gel has stronger bonding performance and storage properties. Therefore, it will have unexpectedly good bonding effect when used in areas that do not contain copper-based metals.
Shin-Etsu KE40RTV is a high-hardness silicone sealant. The hardness after curing is Shore A: 60, which is relatively wear-resistant and environmentally resistant. , resistant to acid and alkali corrosion and has good shock absorption.

Product Application

Shin-Etsu KE40RTV is widely used in electrical insulation and has a wide applicable temperature range. Requirements for bonding, sealing and fixing of various electronic components and mechanisms; products with more such requirements. It has high and low temperature resistance, anti-aging, shock absorption and buffering, easy maintenance and excellent sealing and moisture-proof properties. Such as: electrical appliances, solar cells, batteries, hybrid integrated circuits, TC fans and components, electronic products, power, sensors, fluorescent lamps, membrane switches, LED display panels, electronic equipment, aviation systems, liquid crystal displays, cathode ray tubes, etc.

Shin-Etsu KE40RTV performance introduction

  1. Can maintain stable heat-resistant and cold-resistant electrical properties in places with unstable temperature and humidity;
  2. < li style="line-height: 1.5;">It can be used in a wide temperature range and maintains good performance at -50~250閳? /li>
  3. It has good resistance to ultraviolet rays, ozone, smoke and moisture, and is especially suitable for outdoor use ;
  4. Excellent in shock resistance and chemical properties, it can effectively protect electronics Component.
  5. Weather resistance: One-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is resistant to long-term exposure to the outdoors. They are virtually impervious to deterioration as they have excellent resistance to UV, ozone and moisture.
  6. Workability: These products are easy to use as they can be processed from their The tube (or other container) pops out and is used immediately.

Common questions

Before you send the enquiry

Yes. Tell us the grade and how you intend to use it, and we will send the manufacturer’s current technical data sheet. We pass manufacturer documentation through unchanged rather than reissuing it under our own name.

No — and you should be careful with anyone in our position who says they do. What we supply is the document chain: which document exists, who issued it, what it covers, and notification when it changes. Compliance statements come from the manufacturer, not from us.

That is one of the most common reasons engineers contact us. Equivalence is a ladder, not a yes/no answer — some claims are backed by a matching data sheet, others only by chemistry family. We will tell you which rung a given substitution sits on before you commit to it.

Packaging sizes shown on this page are the standard units for this grade. Sample quantities for evaluation are handled case by case — tell us the trial you are planning and we will scope it with you.

Tell us what you are bonding

Substrates, process window, and the failure you are trying to design out. An engineer answers, not a form.

We do not issue compliance certificates. We supply the material, the manufacturer’s documentation, and the engineering judgement in between.
